Creating Health is a five-session program devoted to physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Each session lasts about two hours. The focus is on the teachings of Ayurveda, or "the science of life." Ayurveda is a holistic, spiritual and philosophical system that began in ancient India and developed over thousands of years.

Focusing on "the five basic elements of creation"—ether, air, heat, water and earth—Ayurveda's mindful daily living is the practice of using calm and insight to learn how to effectively modify response to stress and improve overall well-being. In Ayurveda, the five basic elements are the basis for a fuller understanding of the body and its health.

Teachings in this program include daily ways of living to nourish the body, with specific food recommendations and mindful meditation techniques to nurture the mind and spirit. Exercises focus on expanding the senses to create harmony between a person and their environment, including a seven-step exercise using emotional awareness to decrease stress.
