Unlike acupuncture, acupressure doesn't involve needles, but rather the application of pressure to acupuncture "points," usually using the fingers and hands. It's a technique from Chinese medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years.

Acupressure is a science that deals with the human body and the flow of natural energy within the body. Obstructions in the body's energy channels cause essential substances to flow more slowly to the organs, tissues and bones. Pressure on certain points on the body releases blockages, balances energy that is deficient or excessive, and increases the circulation of blood and fluids to all areas of the body. It also relieves pain and promotes healing.
